Parris had an incredible, historic season-opening performance at the APP Sunmed Punta Gorda Open, where she became the second woman in APP history to earn a Triple Crown with three gold medals in the season-opening event of 2023, and this strong form is continuing as we finish the second APP tournament of the year.
Parris competed in the women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles events, where she took gold in both women's singles and women's doubles with her partner Simone Jardim and a Silver medal in mixed doubles with Hunter Johnson.
“It was a really fun weekend and I’m very blessed to have my whole family here supporting me,” said Todd. “APP and Intersport throw an amazing tournament. It’s been great to have all the fans come out and support us players. We love the atmosphere. It was so nice to have the stadium absolutely packed and just the atmosphere for all of us was just unlike anything else.”
